As the oldest of five, and as a wife and a therapist, I know that life can often be complicated and stressful. Sometimes it’s overwhelming. There are definitely moments when I forget to breathe. I also know that it doesn’t have to be that way, it can get better. Perhaps you've worked really hard to get where you are, only to discover it's not all you thought it would be; it feels like something's missing. You're longing to connect with someone who "gets" it, but it's hard to find that person. You want help, but it's not easy to ask for it. I know that reaching out can be difficult; it takes courage. I also know that sometimes it's the best decision you can make for yourself. It can mean putting an end to old patterns and behaviors and embarking on something new that will get you the life you really want!

Through my own experience, I have learned that some simple things (like taking a few deep breaths) can make a world of difference. For the major stressors in your life, I know that it may not feel like it, but it is possible to move forward, change your perspective on those events, and not be so affected by them. You may be thinking, “yeah, right...” I know, I didn’t believe it either until I experienced it for myself!

I am so passionate about sharing this knowledge with you, helping you effectively cope and feel better. I believe everyone deserves to lead a complete and fulfilling life, and that you already possess inside all that you need to do that - you just need help accessing it.

My approach with my clients is to honor your individuality. I help to integrate the whole person, drawing on your strengths, positive qualities, past successes and inner resilience. I work with adults, adolescents and families on both personal and interpersonal issues. My approach is holistic. I address all aspects of your being: physical, mental, emotional, relational and spiritual. I use several holistic modalities, including EMDR and mindfulness-based practices.

My counseling practice includes working with individuals who are facing a variety of issues including:

Anxiety & Stress

Overcoming Depression

Relationship Issues

Grief & Loss

Self-Worth & Self-Confidence

Identity Issues & Re-evaluation of Purpose

Trauma Resolution

Co-Dependency & Dependency

Major Life Transitions
