Hi, I’m Madeleine.

I provide psychoanalytic therapy for individuals who want to understand themselves at a deeper level and create meaningful, lasting change.

Many of the people I work with are reflective, intelligent, and motivated, yet feel stuck in ways that don’t make sense on the surface. They may struggle with emotional intensity, anxiety, self-doubt, patterns of avoidance or self-criticism, or a persistent feeling of being blocked or unfulfilled.

Rather than focusing only on symptoms or solutions, psychoanalytic therapy helps us explore the underlying emotional and unconscious patterns shaping your thoughts, feelings, and behavior.

Who I work with

I primarily work with individual adults who are interested in:

  • gaining insight into their inner emotional life

  • understanding recurring patterns that affect their well-being

  • exploring identity, meaning, desire, and conflict

  • working through trauma, fear, or emotional overwhelm

  • deepening their capacity for self-trust and self-understanding

I also work with couples and families when psychoanalytic exploration of relational dynamics is appropriate, but my practice is centered on psychoanalytic treatment.

My training and approach

I am trained in psychoanalysis and relational psychoanalytic therapy, with additional training in:

  • Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT)

  • Attachment-based therapy

  • Family systems

My psychoanalytic work is informed by an understanding that much of our emotional life operates outside of conscious awareness. Together, we pay close attention to thoughts, feelings, bodily reactions, memories, and the therapeutic relationship itself to uncover patterns that may have formed early and continue to influence your present life.

What psychoanalytic therapy with me is like

I believe emotional difficulties are meaningful—not random or pathological.

In our work together, we slow down and create space to notice what emerges over time. Therapy is not directive or prescriptive; instead, it is a collaborative exploration that allows insight to develop organically.

I offer a steady, attuned, and emotionally engaged presence so that experiences that may have felt confusing, overwhelming, or unspoken can be explored safely. Through this process, people often develop greater emotional freedom, clarity, and resilience.

My mission

My work is rooted in the belief that understanding oneself deeply can be profoundly freeing.

I help people become more aware of the unconscious patterns that shape their lives so they can relate to themselves and the world with greater honesty, flexibility, and choice.
