Growth Is Not Easy
"It takes courage to grow up and become who you really are..."                -- e.e. Cummings
Our lives are anything but predictable; they have a way of throwing us off balance: a death, an affair, a separation. At these times, it can feel like the ground is falling, and there is nothing secure to catch us. At other times, what is familiar becomes too painful: the constant expectation to take care of others' needs, or the nagging resentment from feeling unseen and taken advantage of.
Meet Mark:
It takes courage to ask for help. When a client comes into my office, I make sure that they are seen and understood. I will work with a client to help them to make sense of their stories in a way that allows them to make meaningful change. My goal is that they become unstuck, and more readily able to connect in authentic ways.
My educational background is in the area of Marriage and Family Therapy - M.A. MFT, Trinity Western University. This program focused on the ways that we interact in relationships and families, and the patterns that can leave us feeling stuck, frustrated, and discouraged. It is possible to disentangle from these patterns, and learn how to be ourselves and connect with others in meaningful ways.
I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC), #15271 , which is overseen by the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors.
Practice areas include:
  • Anxiety and Depression
  • Healing from loss and trauma
  • Managing emotions and impulses
  • Relationship patterns: getting unstuck
  • Boundaries: how to say no, or yes without resentment
  • Family conflict
  • Anger: how to feel anger without damaging relationships
  • Children and Adolescents
  • Spirituality: making meaning

 Getting started:
Get in touch through email at, or give me a call at 778 726 2259, and we will start with a free 15-minute phone consult. It is important that you feel comfortable with your counsellor. This consult gives us a chance to get a better sense of whether we would be a good fit.
From there, we will arrange an in-person intake session. This session gives us a chance to get a clearer sense of what you are working through, and what you would like to work on in counselling.
Individual Session: $130 plus GST
