The search for a therapist is seldom easy, so congratulations for making it this far. There are many highly qualified therapists to consider in Westchester County, but you need to find the right therapist for you. The right fit. So, please read on to learn a little about me so you can better decide.

My philosophy is simple: Life is to be lived; joyously, actively, fully-present in the moment, with a sense of balance and confident ease as we navigate through the physical emotional and relationship challenges that invariably occur.

In my 25 years of experience I have witnessed, time and time again, the intrinsic ability each person has for healing and transformation that can be activated and supported through therapy. I work collaboratively with you and offer guidance to assist you in accessing your own inner wisdom to heal yourself and transform your life.
In my office, you will find a safe, confidential and supportive space where you can explore your life, behaviors and emotions with acceptance and without judgment. I tailor your therapy, (individual or couple – each of whom is unique in their life’s journey and struggles) choosing the approach best suited to bringing about the change and outcome you are seeking.

I work with adults as well as children and adolescents. My clients are dealing with a variety of life’s challenges including anxiety, stress, depression, grief and loss, ADD, ADHD, addiction, relationship and marriage issues including divorce and separation. I also have extensive experience in treating all types of post-traumatic stress disorders, whether arising from childhood sexual abuse, domestic violence, car accidents, war or other sources.

My treatments for adults and adolescents also include Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Anxiety Disorders, Depression, Specific Fears/Phobias and Emetophobia, Bipolar Disorder, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Social Phobia and Shyness, Panic Attacks, Agoraphobia, Health Anxiety and Body Dysmorphic Disorder.  As appropriate for a variety of fears, phobias and OCD,  I may suggest and conduct Virtual Reality treatment.

I frequently consult with physicians throughout the tri-state region and accept referrals from physicians, psychiatrists, school psychologists, social workers and counselors, as well as employee assistance programs and hospitals.

I hold a Graduate Degree in Clinical Social Work from Columbia University. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in both New York and New Jersey and a member in good standing of the National Academy of Certified Social Workers. In addition, my advanced training includes Client-Centered Therapy, cognitive/behavioral strategies, Gestalt Therapy, existential psychology, Acceptance and Commitment-Based Therapy, Eastern Mindfulness Practices, psychoanalytic dynamics, Transactional Analysis, Bioenergetics, and Emotionally Focused Therapy for couples.

Currently I am completing the Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Certification Program ( 2 year Program) (sponsor by UCLA with Teachers Jack Kornfield and Tara Brach.) Graduation Date June 2019

I am well aware that it’s not always easy to reach out to a therapist so your call would be most welcome.
