Play Therapy- Child-Centered Play Therapy is a research supported and theoretically-based therapy that is developmentally appropriate for children between the ages of 3-12 years. Play Therapy uses the child's natural language of play to help children learn how to problem solve, develop self-efficacy, and build social skills. It helps children with fostering responsibility and cultivating empathy. CCPT helps with emotional expression and helps develop more adaptive behaviors.
Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT)- Live coaching of parenting skills in specialize play area
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy- a psychotherapy that involves the relationship between thoughts, feelings, and emotions and how they all are interconnected. It involves changing thinking patterns and challenging cognitive distortions. It also involves changing behavioral patterns that are no longer helpful, and identifying coping skills strategies.
Dialectical Behavior Therapy- a psychotherapy that involves focusing on therapeutic skills of mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotional regulation (managing and changing intense emotions), and interpersonal effectiveness techniques which allows helpful communication techniques that involve strength-building in relationships, and assertiveness.
Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT)- an evidence-based treatment for children and adolescents impacted by trauma and their caregivers. This model incorporates family therapy as well as expanded traditional Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to form a skills-based model that involves psychoeducation, relaxation, affect regulation, gradual exposure, parent and child sessions, creating a trauma narrative, safety skills, and being able to have mastery over trauma triggers. The goal of therapy is to help survivors of trauma resolve distress from traumatic experiences.
