My Approach
My role as a therapist is to bring my experience and knowledge to support, guide, and empower you throughout our time together. My style is warm and rather informal. I’m a big fan of humor and we will laugh, a lot. I will hold your hand and walk with you through the pain – I will also gently push you when you need it. I provide a safe space for you to talk, release, process and grow.

Not at all! People who ask for help know when they need it and have the ability to reach out - this is a sign of strength, not weakness. Please understand that everyone needs help now and then. You already have some strengths that you’ve used in the past that may not be working now. Perhaps the problem feels overwhelming and it's difficult to get through the day. In our work together I’ll help you clarify the problem, identify your strengths, teach you to tap into your personal power and help you feel strong, confident and emotionally healthy.
"How does counselling work? What do I have to do in sessions?"
Since each person has different issues and goals for therapy, the therapeutic process will be different depending on the individual. I tailor my therapeutic approach to your specific needs. In general, you can expect to discuss, in confidence, the current events happening in your life, your personal history relevant to your issue, and report progress and life events that may have occurred since our previous session.
