Me:

I have worked as a therapist and counsellor for the last 11 years in a variety of areas, including: addictions, mental health, crimminal justice, and crisis response. I completed my Masters of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University, and I hold a Bachelors of Science with a major in Psychology at the University of Toronto.

What I Do:

If you are finding that you are feeling stuck or unable to have the life you truly desire I want to help. I also work with couples to re-discover the intimacy that can go missing at certain times, with the goal of building a stronger future despite the issues that have created conflict. I have an eclectic approach to therapy with a primary focus on using Acceptance and Committment Therapy. Acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT therapy) is a type of mindful psychotherapy that helps you stay focused on the present moment and accept thoughts and feelings without judgment. It aims to help you move forward through difficult emotions so you can put your energy into healing instead of dwelling on the negative.

How I can Help:

I will work with you to help you explore and uncover whatever the problems are that are getting in the way of you living your optimal life. With new skills and insight, I can assist you to manage them more effectively, and forge a clearer path for living the life that truly matters to you.

If you are struggling in your relationship, I can help you both to view it in a different way, and to learn new skills  to re-connect and recover the intimacy that can sometimes go missing. Most people will experience emotional problems at some point in their life, and all relationships can have conflict creep in and cause disconnection and distance. Despite theses difficulties, I can help you bring vitality back into your life, and build a deeper connection between you and your partner.

Format:

I conduct my sessions via webcam, and I feel that this format offers many benefits including: flexibility, comfort and convenience. I have found this to be especially beneficial for creating a safe space when working with couples in conflict.

Cost:
Session cost: $175-200. A complimentary 15 minute consult can be arranged if desired.
