I am a combat veteran, military spouse, mother, licensed mental health counselor associate, and marriage and family therapist associate. I am passionate about using my faith, training, life experiences, and perspective to alleviate the emotional pain of being human. Additionally, I want my clients to truly feel seen and heard.

We are multifaceted beings with many layers. We are all participating in this life, encountering one experience after another. We are all here seeking to take our place in this world. Each one of us has a purpose. I want my clients to feel empowered and worthy of living their best life. I am committed to meeting my clients right where they are while supporting them in becoming their most authentic selves. With open, honest, and direct dialogue, we will work together to overcome obstacles and celebrate victories. I will help clients cut to the root of their issues, say what needs to be said, and find honest solutions that promote healing and success.

Life is an ongoing journey of growth and opportunity. Throughout these opportunities, we are met with challenges. Often these challenges are the catalyst for the growth opportunities we were not seeking. I believe it is in these moments that we get to dig deep, transform, and come out on the other side victorious, even if we have had to get there kicking and screaming. We are resilient people, and sometimes we need to be reminded of that. My role as a therapist is to support my clients and challenge them to keep putting forth the effort and to claim the victory that is waiting for them on the other side.

As a woman of faith, I often think about what life would be like if we all lived our unique and most authentic life. I believe that we all were created with gifts and talents. I believe that change and healing can come when we are reunited with the strengths and gifts within us. In my practice, I encourage healing from the inside out. I am comfortable incorporating faith and prayer into our sessions for clients who desire a more faith-based approach.

Before setting out on the journey to becoming a therapist, I spent ten years as a medical assistant in California. About halfway through my career as a medical assistant, I received a tug on my heart and a sense of calling to serve my country. I decided to follow the call one day, and I never looked back. My experience as a combat soldier honed my passion for helping others deal with trauma and moral injury. I continue to serve active-duty soldiers, veterans, and military soldiers as a volunteer at JBLM.

I am a dedicated lifelong learner. I am committed to my personal and professional growth and have utilized my training and experience working with clients. I seek training that offers new ways and approaches that may best serve my clients. If you are ready to dig deep and step into your authentic self, let’s chat to see if I am the right person to join you on your unique journey.
