WHO I AM

I am an Ohio gal! I grew up in Cleveland, went to high school in Cincinnati, and then moved to Columbus in 2011. Except for a year in Minnesota in middle school and then five years in Southeastern Kentucky for college, I have lived in Ohio.

I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor who graduated from Cincinnati Christian University (Cincinnati, OH) in May 2011 with a Master of Arts in Counseling. After moving to Columbus, I worked briefly for Netcare in mental health crisis before going into private practice with WellSpring Counseling (Columbus, OH). Then I joined CornerStone Family Services (Columbus, OH) in June 2014, where I worked alongside a group of fabulous professionals for almost six years.

PERINATAL MOOD DISORDERS / GRIEF / RELATIONSHIP CONCERNS / SPIRITUAL ABUSE

Since 2021, I have been working as a solo practitioner, where I focus on Perinatal Mood Disorders (i.e. Postpartum Depression/Anxiety, Postpartum OCD, etc.) and Grief/Loss along with Relationship Concerns, Women’s Issues, Anxiety, Depression, and Spiritual Abuse.

I have been extensively trained in working with Perinatal Mood Disorders via Postpartum Support International as well as the Postpartum Stress Center. Since 2013, I have worked with many women as they struggled and then overcame their struggle.

Since losing my mother to complications of breast cancer when I was nine years old, I have a heart for helping people to integrate all grief/loss into their life in a positive way, while still feeling their feelings and being real.

For relationship concerns, I am Gottman Level III Trained as well as trained in Emotionally-Focused Therapy (EFT) through Externship and Core Skills. I have worked with couples for over ten years and am confident that I can help couples through various struggles, as long as they are willing to walk through the process and put in the time and effort. Sometimes we don't know where our blind spots are and it helps to have someone with skill and intentionality point those out in a caring way!

In addition, in the past several years, I have been extensively trained in working with people who are coming out of spiritually abusive situations, whether that be church hurt, cults, or their own homes. I have great empathy for those who have trusted and then been so deeply hurt by others. When your worldview is suddenly changed, it sends your whole life into a tilt that you never expected!

I am licensed in the State of Ohio and am available to work with anyone in Ohio, near Columbus or far away.
