“Authenticity is the daily practice of letting go of who we’re supposed to be and embracing who we are” – Brene Brown

I am a Registered Social Worker and a member in good standing with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers. With a Master’s in Social Work and a Graduate Certificate in Concurrent Disorders, my passion for helping others has been nurtured by practice experience in the community mental health and addictions sectors.

I use an eclectic mix of evidence-based modalities including cognitive behavioural therapy, dialectical behaviour therapy, narrative therapy, and solution-focused therapy, coupled with strengths-based and collaborative approaches to support clients, believing that no one knows your life experience better than you. I centre my practice on the belief that the therapeutic relationship is the foundation for growth and change, often using use compassion and humour, in addition to therapeutic tools, to make you feel comfortable and build trust between us.

Using trauma-informed and ecological systems frameworks, together we can explore how our environments, current and historical, shape the stories we tell ourselves, who we are, and how we navigate through the world. I strive to provide a safe, warm, and non-judgmental space where we can develop new and adaptive coping strategies, build a deeper connection to our authentic selves, and navigate life’s challenges together to create meaningful change.

Although as a life-long learner I continue to develop and refine my practice through professional development training and workshops, I am most appreciative of the lessons I have the privilege of learning from clients and am immensely grateful and honoured to be a part of people’s healing journeys.

I look forward to connecting with you!
