Hi! I've been providing therapy since 2009 and have sought out extensive specialized training to be able to make sure that the experience I provide allows for you to not only reduce distressing feelings, but to improve your life beyond where you started. I've spent my entire career focused on working to solve the underlying problems that cause people to feel anxious, depressed, or overwhelmed, and not just provide quick, but short lasting, fixes.

I provide compassionate, collaborative, individualized therapy to help you to improve your life and provide support during the many stresses that life can bring.

I can help you with concerns related to:
  • LGBTQ+
  • Relationship stress
  • Trauma
  •  Depression
  • Anxiety
  • Sex & Sexuality
  • Jealousy
  • Anger
  • Career stress/changes
  • Adjusting to a life change, e.g., becoming a parent, upcoming move
  • Body Image concerns
  • Distressing eating patterns
  • Grief and loss

Approach
I practice a type of therapy called interpersonal psychoanalytic therapy. It is a therapy that focuses on you as a person living life while a member of society, i.e., not just focused on your inner "unconscious," but rather focusing on you as a whole person with curiosity about how your past influences your present, how your environment influences who you are, and focused on understanding underlying dynamics and not just focusing on reducing symptoms (though you will notice that you feel better, and research shows that this approach leaves you feeling better longer than symptom-focused approaches).

Benefits of therapy
Research has shown that the vast majority of people who start report feeling a greater satisfaction from life. People feel less anxious, less depressed, more content, more willing and confident to take emotionally vulnerable steps towards connecting more deeply with people in their life. It has even been demonstrated to positively impact your physical health,

Cost
$255 for each 45-minute individual session. I can either provide you with a bill to give to your insurance company to seek reimbursement if you have out-of-network coverage, or I can submit on your behalf and save you the paperwork involved.
