Wilmington Treatment Center View Specialties

Located in beautiful Wilmington, North Carolina, Wilmington Treatment Center is the leading substance use and addiction treatment center serving the Carolinas. With programs covering the full spectrum of addiction care, our premier treatment center can help you or a loved one stop using, achieve stability, and start on the path to lasting recovery.

For most people, recovery will start at our medical detox facility. A medical detox center uses individualized treatments and medications to ease the effects of withdrawal, turning this crucial first stage of recovery from a harrowing experience into a peaceful respite from the chaos of substance use disorders. During detox, patients receive outstanding medical care, round-the-clock medical monitoring, and careful attention to their symptoms and the withdrawal process.

We also offer a unique auricular acupuncture program for people who are interested in holistic healing during the detoxification process. Following detox, it is essential to continue treatment to build sobriety that lasts. Our residential treatment center focuses on delivering intensive therapies in a supportive and safe residential setting. This includes regular individual therapy sessions, group therapy, medication-assisted treatment, and 12-Step facilitation. At our inpatient treatment center, we also stress the importance of treating co-occurring disorders such as anxiety, bipolar disorder, depression, and PTSD. Because these disorders so often feed off each other in a negative way, treating all behavioral health concerns simultaneously is the surest path to recovery.

The intensive outpatient program (IOP) at our treatment center caters to people who have completed residential treatment or whose treatment needs can be addressed at this lower level of care. Taking part in our IOP involves coming to our facility from either 9 a.m.-noon or from 6-9 p.m. This program ensures that you still receive the best evidence-based therapies while giving you the flexibility to continue living at home and fulfilling your responsibilities and obligations outside of treatment.

Wilmington Treatment Center offers several specialized tracks that are catered specifically to certain groups. These include a young adult treatment track for people ages 18-30, a middle adult group, and Operation Recovery. Our experience has shown that separating patients into specialized tracks improves their ability to engage in treatment, feel comfortable in their environment, and build a foundation to last a lifetime.

Operation Recovery is designed to help veterans, active-duty military members, and first responders get the specific treatment they need to recover. This includes specialized therapies that are designed to treat the symptoms of posttraumatic stress disorder, cognitive processing therapy, and the opportunity to meet with therapists and peers who come from similar backgrounds and can truly understand your situation.

At Wilmington Treatment Center, we understand how hard addiction can be on your health, well-being, family, and outlook. From the day you first call us, our team will be there to support you in your recovery, help you heal, and show you that you don’t have to travel this path alone. Recovery is possible — and the expert team at Wilmington Treatment Center can help show you the way.
