Vacaville, California is conveniently located halfway between San Francisco and Sacramento, in Solano County. The city is home to over 92,000 people. Current Initiatives
Improving the mental health of all residents of Vacaville and the surrounding communities is a top priority of the Solano County Government. As part of the county's prevention and early intervention plan, a number of initiatives have been implemented. The Early Childhood Mental Health Program provides services that allow parents and school personnel to identify children who have special needs. Programs for transitional age youth are available as well. Also part of the intervention services are those to address suicide and mental illness stigmas.4
