I established Evergreen Family Matters to treat behavioral and emotional problems within the context of the family structure or system. I work with families and couples in intimate relationships to facilitate and nurture change and development. In family therapy I use drumming to help parents, kids and teens to create positive connections. It helps them to learn to listen, connect and look at the possibilities that are open to them as a family. It's playful and fun, yet meaningful in that they are connecting and coming up with new ideas, and possibilities for positive change. With this method, kids feel connected with their family and together they have an opportunity to create, play, have fun and at the same time, grow in family bonding.

Parenting is hard. Co-parenting can be even harder. Families can be very messy and frustrating, but they don't have to be. Whether you are part of a blended, divorced, traditional, non-traditional, or LGBTQ+ family, I love helping families narrow in on their goals and find practical steps to achieving them.

No matter your family structure, family is one of the most influential aspects of our lives. I believe that our experiences with our family helps define who we are and how we exist in the world. My goal as a therapist to help each family member learn more about themselves, their other family members, and the family as a whole in order to reestablish healthy boundaries, increase connection, and increase understanding.
