I am a born-again Christian. As a Christian and a mental health therapist, I understand how important it is to have a Christian counselor. As a Christian therapist, I provide counseling from a Biblical perspective without judging you. Just because you are a Christian doesn't mean you don't suffer from depression, anxiety, stress, and interpersonal issues.

One of the things I noticed in my counseling education is how many counseling principles, skills, and interventions are biblically based. The Christian counseling I provide integrates biblical principles with evidence-based practices. My approach allows people to reference their specific denominational doctrine and to drawn on their spiritual beliefs as needed.

Our approach to Christian counseling starts with learning the client’s spiritual history and their Christain walk. We adopt a systematic approach by integrating Christ-based principles in therapy. A clinical spiritual assessment is conducted prior to the implementation of any prescribe treatment approach, thereby achieving consistently favorable outcomes. For example, we use the FICA tool: faith, importance, community, and address: • Do you consider yourself a person of faith and how would you describe your faith tradition? • What importance does your faith have in your life? • Are you a member of a local church or faith community? • How would you like me to address these spiritual matter?

I am absolutely nothing without my relationship with Jesus Christ. That relationship motivates everything I do. I believe there are issues that can only be solved through a relationship with Christ; however, I believe we can sometimes over spiritualize things. With my pastoral background combined with my training as a counselor, we can develop together a practical yet biblical way to address your concerns and struggles. I will also never force my biblical views and convictions on anyone including my clients.

While most Christian Counselors pride themselves on how many Scriptural passages they can recite and how many links they can make from the Bible to psychological disorders, the Christian-centric work of Grey Matters International, Inc.is grounded in one principle: truth. For us, the work is more about truth and transparency of Christ's message and working on the natural laws of accountability and decision making that evolves from that. If one honors God's natural laws of reaping and sowing around the decisions one makes, one is indeed living Scripture to its fullest. Faith does not shield us from life’s challenges. Even as Christians, we may face seasons of emotional struggle, illness, grief, or relationship pain. My goal in Christian counseling is to walk with you through these difficulties in a way that strengthens your faith and reminds you of the hope and purpose God has for your life. While following Christ in today’s world can feel overwhelming at times, I believe that God always provides a path forward. Together, we can seek healing, peace, and restoration through both sound therapeutic practice and the sustaining truth of God’s Word.

As a Christian and a Licensed Mental Health Counselor it is my desire to be a witness to others. Although this practice is not listed under Christian counseling and all denominations are welcomed, having a counselor who is a Christian can help to provide those with similar faiths to come together and use their faith in their healing process through counseling.
