I have been a Christian Counseling for more than 10 years working with women and family issues. It is my belief that only a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, based solely upon His word and lead by His Spirit can we live out the abundant life He has promised. I feel honored to be apart of the process of helping others find peace, comfort, strength and guidance on their journey toward healing.

Over ten years of private practice has provided many opportunities to assist clients of all ages with their spiritual beliefs. A few clients have stated they are atheists, many more express confusion about God's existence and connection with them. Most clients have expressed a belief in God, with personal exposure to faith, prayer, and knowledge of the Scriptures. All clients are respected for their beliefs. Therapy based upon spiritual strengths can assist with a fuller understanding and ultimate plan of God for the future. It is an honor to utilize the Word of God with my clients as a source of meditation, prayer, and wisdom as they continue to grow and walk in healing and love.

Gateway is a Christian based counseling center. That does not mean we don't see clients who don't have a faith basis to their life - we do. It also does not only mean that our counselors are Christian, although they are. What it does mean is that we integrate biblical principles with psychological truth. It means we will not give counsel that violates scriptural truth. Jesus said ,"you shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free." Freedom from their emotional pain is what people are looking for and only the truth accomplishes that. There is a big difference between a center where the counselors are Christians and a Christian counseling center.

Dr. Rapp specializes in providing professional psychological services from a distinctly Christian perspective. He completed his doctoral training at Rosemead School of Psychology at Biola University, where he studied biblical interpretation, systematic theology, and the theoretical and applied integration of psychology and theology. Dr. Rapp has taught at the graduate and undergraduate levels in the areas of Christian counseling and the psychology of religious experience.
