As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I am specially trained in working with families. Family therapy provides some of the most notable breakthrough in a therapy setting. Family patterns of addictions, abuse, or codependency that have been passed through generations tend to generate chaos in families and at some point need to be addressed and shifted. Counseling can be very helpful in identifying these patterns, healing the wounds they have caused, and putting new ways of being into place. Family counseling can also be helpful for adult children to open dialogue with their parents, siblings, or in-laws. I serve many roles with families: mediator, navigator, translator, and supporter.
