I am an Ordained Minister in the Christian tradition and a Licensed Psychoanalyst. I will not dismiss your spiritual life, and at the same time will provide sound psychotherapeutic support. I believe in the integration of spirit, body, and mind. We can explore your questions about life and its connections to the spiritual life. We can explore your doubts about God. I am skilled, knowledgeable, and have years of experience delivering spiritual and religious counseling to Christians and a variety of clients from other spiritual, religious groups, or perspectives, such as Jewish, Muslim, and Hindus, etc. Having taught world religions at the college level, I am comfortable with and have a diverse understanding of spirituality and religious thoughts within reasonable limits.

Faith and spirituality can provide comfort and meaning to those guided by their beliefs. I was raised in a Christian household myself so I have an appreciation for the values instilled by religion, the importance of tradition, and the strength of community. My approach to counseling is humanistic and welcoming of all spiritualities. Though I do not incorporate any specific pastoral counsel, I encourage my spiritual clients to draw on their beliefs during the counseling process.

Personally, my faith seems to be the only thing in my life that makes sense. However, our faith can be the source of strength that we need to face and overcome most of life’s challenges. I meet with people of different faiths and explore with them how their faith gives them the courage and motivation to overcome their biggest problem. It is difficult to separate faith from everyday life, so why not use faith to live life to the fullest? We can make this journey together.

Having a religious philosophy can benefit clients with these views. Worldview and Philosophy are powerful inner beliefs that clients possess. Chris has worked with many clients with Christian beliefs by respecting beliefs and integrating this into powerful and solutions oriented counseling. For example...." The quote talks about looking at ourselves before we judge others. The concept can be identified as lets look at ourselves before we blame others. This works well in individual or couples therapy to have clients look at their own motivations.

Christian Counseling can take you into a peaceful setting, for you to be at your inner-self. My private environment, and private office will help heal any irrational thoughts you might have. At times a commercial setting can be irritating and uncomfortable to be at peace. Certainly we might find God to be the answer, but, we have to first find ourselves and inner feelings to strenghtened any irrational thoughts to rational thoughts.
