My approach to family counseling focuses on improving the health of the entire family system by helping each member feel heard, understood, and respected. Together, we identify unhealthy interaction patterns, strengthen communication, develop effective problem-solving skills, and build healthier relationships. I provide a safe, supportive environment where families can work through challenges, restore trust, and create lasting positive change. When desired, Christian faith can be thoughtfully integrated to encourage forgiveness, unity, and hope while respecting each family's values and goals.

Research shows trying to just “fix the kid” does not generally work. The family should be involved if at all possible. I made it a special point to learn the specific strategies and techniques for this population as I went through my schooling. To this day I have approx. one decade of experience in working with this population, and I look forward to continuing to work with children of all ages, particularly with family involvement.
