My name is Heather and I am a Christian that counsels. This makes me different from other Christian counselors. Because I know that not all Christians believe the same things, I aid you in using your Christian beliefs to find Godly solutions to your concerns. I strive to create a safe Christian fellowship with you that is without judgment or persecution. It is not my goal to have you believe in the same manner in which I believe but to aid you in living by the beliefs in which you hold.

The ultimate goal of Christian counselors is to help their clients reestablish and reaffirm their relationship with God, themselves and their social circle. Christian counselors strive to help the client overcome spiritual, mental, social and behavioral problems within the framework of these three dimensions while keeping God at the center of the relationships.

Do you ever feel empty inside? Life without God or spirituality seems very meaningless. Its such a large part of who we are it would be difficult to ignore. Counseling from a spiritual perspective can enhance your spiritual development and bring meaning to your life that nothing else can provide. Together we can learn and grow and have the spiritual maturity we all desire.

When people of faith claim a connection to their God, they benefit from using a counselor that can frame their struggles in words that are reflected in their faith. With an understanding that our lives fall under a Creator they are connected to, it is important that the counseling process acknowledge, support and guide in light of this connection. I have been ordained as Minister of Word and Sacrament in the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.). I trained at both Perkins School of Theology (at SMU) and Amberton University. My counseling practice is a "Validated Ministry" within Grace Presbytery.
