Family members are helped to gain insight into possible ways each individual may be contributing to conflict and inadequate relationships within the family unit. In family therapy sessions, family members are encouraged to address issues with each other in a safe setting of the counseling office. Communication skills, including appropriate assertiveness, are given strong focus.
