Hello, it takes courage to reach out for help and I am glad that you are seeking support to improve your wellbeing. It can be difficult to know who to reach out to, and building a good rapport is so important.  I hope you can find what you need and please reach out to me with any questions.

With over 20 years of experience in mental health, I have worked with individuals who struggle with their mental health, grief and loss, mood disorders, anxiety, difficulties with relationships and life transitions.  I am a registered member of the OCSWSSW, and a member of the OASW and CASW.    In addition to working with adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients who have ranged from mild to significant psychiatric disorders, I am a trained Trauma therapist (advanced level certificate).  Previously a professor at Seneca College (SSW program);  I have also worked in a variety of settings from family counselling centers, hospitals, addiction centers, and correctional facilities.

I am a Registered Social Worker and Psychotherapist with a Masters degree in Social Work from Wilfrid Laurier University (2005) and an Undergraduate degree in Criminology/Psychology (1999) from the University of Ottawa.  I am a practicing  Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (CBT) with additional training in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing), Mindfulness, Internal Family Systems, and Acceptance Commitment Therapy.

I am compassionate and committed to a client centered approach driven to improve overall mental health, providing a safe place to begin healing. I aim to meet clients where ever they are on their healing journey and offer a non-judgmental approach while identifying the personal strength, perseverance, and resiliency of those seeking healing through therapy. I welcome anyone who is looking for a space to process heavy emotions, express difficult thoughts and feelings, and to support you on your journey toward healing, growth, and wellness.
