Benefits of Therapy:

Your therapy sessions will be tailored to address what is going on in your life right now, and any goals that you would like to work towards. Clients describe feeling more like themselves again, feeling more hopeful, less stressed, more confident, and more able to experience joy and happiness.  Reach out today to find out how CBT can help move you closer to the life that you want to be living.

Liz Curran uses these therapies to help:

-Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
-Mindfulness
-Self-Compassion
-Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)
-Strengths Based

CBT shows us how our thought patterns influence our feelings, how we act in the world, and how we feel in our body. These parts of ourselves are all very connected. Changes in any of these areas will affect all of the other areas. It is very easy to get caught in a downward spiral and it can feel hard to lift yourself out of it alone. Through a variety of tools and strategies you will learn how to reverse that spiral.

Sometimes when you are going through a difficult time it can be hard to know where to start.  Work in the sessions will help identify the easiest place to start, that will have the biggest impact, while continuing to work on long-term changes.  Often when we are struggling a critical voice in our minds can take hold, that is likely trying to help, but can leave you feeling even more discouraged.  Liz will help you to shift that critical voice towards a more self-compassionate one, that leaves you feeling more motivated.

Liz treats every client who walks through the door with respect – it takes strength to reach out and ask for help. Every person's experience is unique, and while CBT offers very helpful frameworks, there is no 'one size fits all' approach.
