Education: I have a Masters and Doctoral degree in Counselling Psychology from the University of Victoria. In addition to many relevant courses in individual, couples and group counselling re: general life issues and problems, I also took training in the areas of career and human performance (i.e., life transitions, career counselling, and sport psychology).
 
Experience: I have over 20 years of counselling experience, and over 35 years of sports coaching experience.
 
Approach: I enjoy using a client-centred approach to resolving issues, and offer practical and action-oriented approaches for individuals and couples seeking resolution for everyday problems and concerns. I am especially effective with individuals and couples who wish to re-empower themselves via identifying and clearly articulating their needs in such a way that they are enabled to make good decisions and set healthy boundaries. Insight is great, but if it does not lead to change, it isn't much use. I help you to both gain insight and initiate realistic and sustainable changes to your lifestyle and/or relationships! I tailor my therapeutic approaches to suit your particular needs, and create a comfort zone where you can come home to your authentic self and the potential within. In other words, I help you get out of your own way!
