I know that anxiety and stress are symptoms of underlying issues and beliefs that need to be explored and examined with the goals of reducing stress and anxiety and leading to a more rewarding and better quality of life. For some clients, additional support for medication from a psychiatrist is appropriate. Talk therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) are very helpful in working with anxiety and stress. As clients gain a better understanding of and begin to challenge the negative thoughts that lead to their anxiety and stress, their symptoms decline and they report feeling more in control of their lives and experience more success in the world.
