Goodyear Arizona is a mini city west of Phoenix and just south of Luke Air Force Base. Not officially a city until 1985, the town began by the tire company who shares its name. Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company purchased the town in 1917 to produce cotton, but what was ultimately cultivated was a town of unprecedented prospects.  Because of its weather, most recreations are open year-round. For example, Estrella Mountain Regional Park, which is almost 20,000 acres, hosts trails that support hikers, mountain bikers, and horseback riders. Over 33 miles of tracks, there are also campgrounds, baseball fields, picnic areas, a golf course, and even a professional rodeo arena. White Tank Mountain Regional Park,1 is also r located in Goodyear, is open year-round, and is even considered the largest County system. This park hosts the most visited trail in the area, known as the Waterfall trail; it is only one mile long, but provides unrestricted access to a gorgeous waterfall view.
