I am a Christian faith-based therapist with my office at my church. Everything we go through is a spiritual challenge. Our ability to handle life is based on our connection with God. When we are tight, (in vertical alignment), we are able to handle our challenges and follow as He requires. When we not as tight, we fight, control, argue, decieve ourselves and don't allow God to lead us as He needs. Surrender is vital to Christian life and therapy.

Whatever challenges or difficulties that come our way, it feels reassuring to receive counsel from someone who shares the same Christian values that we have. My name is Brandon Wetzler and I have 7 years experience as a therapist and I provide counseling for those who share the Judeo-Christian value system. My approach is centered in the understanding of God's love, compassion and desire to complete the good work he has started in all of us. I am a Christian and I am a psychologist. I do not separate these two identities, nor do I believe that you need to separate out your faith and spirituality from your present counseling needs and goals. I've been following Jesus for over 30 years. I'm not about Bible-bashing or quoting Scripture you already know ("Be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to anger.") with the belief you should just be able to do it because it's in the Bible - if you *really* love God. But instead I show my clients how they can live out what God and the Bible have to say about their life and relationships in realistic ways that you can actually do. My clients learn to personally experience the love, grace, mercy, gentleness, self-control, kindness, compassion, peace, and forgiveness, the Bible promises - and how to offer these experiences in their relationships with others.

For many of us, our relationship with God is a primary part of our lives. During difficult times, God is an anchor and a comfort for some. For others, even if we have a relationship with God, He may seem distant or withholding. No matter where you are in this process, your faith story matters. God desires for us to be in relationship with others...and he knows the deep pain of broken relationships. Dr. Parke is a Christian psychologist who works with teens and college students; she considers her work as a psychologist a calling from God. I do not specialize in treating Christian clients, however I do work with Christians whose background in line with teachings of tolerance. I deal with Christians who are struggling with sexual and/or gender identity issues. I provide a safe, non-judgmental space to explore one's beliefs in God, the church, and their sexual identity or gender identity. I am have worked with these issues for over 25 years and identity issues are a specialty of mine. I am also a specialist and certified expert in the treatment of childhood abuse, trauma, sexual abuse and sexual trauma of males and females.
