When we don't bond in a healthy way, or don't learn how to self-regulate through our connection with our parents, we need to do it some other way. That's where addiction comes from. If we can learn to create the feelings that our addiction gives us on our own - joy, bliss, relaxation, connection, etc., and combine that with nutritional support that gives our brain the right chemicals, we can move forward.
