When working with couples, I use talk therapy, a family systems approach, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Working with couples is unique and can be complex. It is important to examine each person as an individual, help them become their best self and then work on ways to help them grow together as a unit. It is to be noted that it is difficult to achieve progress with couples therapy if both parties are not fully committed to the therapy process.

When I provide couples counseling I begin with why you were attracted to each other. Once we focus on the positive, we can figure out what got lost that brought you to seek out counseling. I have helped couples in traditional and not traditional relationships. I focus on pre-marital and LGBTQ relationships.
