Is a Christian Counseling perspective important to you in therapy? As an experienced Christian Counselor and ordained pastor, over the last 15 years I’ve been blessed to help hundreds of men find hope and healing using both psychological and Biblical principles. I believe that Christ is the ultimate source of hope and healing in this life. But I also believe that he’s given us the gift of rational minds, able to discern scientific and psychological truths built into the fabric of His amazing creation. My approach is grounded firmly in Scripture, but I don’t use Scripture as a weapon. You don’t need more guilt, but rather, a reminder of God’s promises and a compassionate guide to support you.

Often times, Christians struggle with finding meaning in their existence and with trying to live purposeful lives, influenced, yet unaware, of past or present yokes that are weighing them down and holding them back. Generational patterns of depression, anxiety, hypochondriasis, alcoholism, and other addictions, as well as traumatic experiences of abuse, neglect, and abandonment may have become deeply ingrained into the minds of many. Our deepest wounds are often those that are at the hands of another person. Human brokenness is the root of our need for redemption. This holds true in therapy and growth work as well. When we encounter our deep wounds, we encounter our need for our Big God. Here, we are able to reconcile the broken our hurt parts of our ourselves.
