Both students and staff undergo trainings so they understand what bullying is, when it usually occurs, and how to intervene and de-escalate tense situations. Current Initiatives

The Idaho Children's Trust Fund finances many mental health-based initiatives. They are currently working to build a social movement aimed at strengthening families in order to prevent child abuse and neglect. Prevention and outreach programs provide information to community members and other stakeholders regarding child-rearing practices that are positive and avoid violence. Additionally, the initiative seeks to bring churches, schools, and social service organizations together in order to build a strong system of protective factors that will help eliminate abuse in Pocatello.5
