I am an Illinois licensed clinical psychologist. While I have had experience addressing a wide variety of issues, I specialize in the treatment of Anxiety & Stress Disorders, Couples and Relationship counseling and Trauma and abuse. My approach is holistic and integrative uniting a number of traditional and non-traditional treatment methods for the sake of meeting a broader range of challenges. I take the time to consider both the barriers that have come to challenge you along with your vision for a fulfilled and free experience of your life. We are living in a time that is as fraught with challenges as it is filled with the heights of what is possible for all human beings to achieve.

A Licensed Clinical Psychologist (LCP) has not only fulfilled requirements via hundreds of classroom hours to achieve a doctoral degree but has also completed 5 years of face-to-face experience in psychological assessment, diagnosing, and treatment of children, adolescents, couples, families, groups, & individuals. While I am in a solo practice today, I have worked with clients in hospitals, group practices, in-home care, & mental health clinics in the Chicagoland area. I am extremely qualified to be your psychological listener and guide.

Working with individuals, couples and families to get the most out of therapy is very important. Using a family systems approach allows the client to better understand the role that they are playing within the family unit and how to better utilize there individual gifts to improve each relationship. Also clients learn how to set boundaries and accept the boundaries of others.

As a Psychologist I integrate and believe we are whole and complete and that often things we struggle with are current challenges often linked to past hurts or unmet needs from earlier in life. The process includes helping the individual see they are enough and completely lovable in who they are today and as they grow and heal they will continue to love themselves more deeply and be able to love others more deeply.

As a Psychologist, I am committed to helping the individual client to learn to understand and resolve the underlying issues contributing to the life difficulties he or she presents - anxiety, depression, relationship problems, self-esteem issues, inner conflicts and turmoil, personal confusion and... My focus in on enduring solutions, ones that increase emotion and intellectual resilience in the face of the inevitable curve balls life throws at all of us - curve balls that we can struggle to avoid or learn to face and deal with.
