Miles Diller is a psychologist with over thirty years of experience with children, adolescents and adults, providing therapy, testing and diagnostic services for ADHD, learning, and other behavioral, emotional and social problems. He is certified in Gestalt, has trained and conducted research in cognitive behavioral therapy, and has experience in acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT); he uses all of these approaches to help alleviate anxiety, depression, stress, and phase of life issues.

Through my educational and practical experience, I have adopted an eclectic approach to therapy. First in foremost, I believe in getting to know each client as an individual. Once a working relationship is established, I work to help clients understand themselves. That involves seeing oneself more objectively and evaluating one's behaviors and their consequences more clearly. In this way, it's possible to determine what's working, what needs to be changed, and how changes could be put into place. The process is different for every person but it always is a great privilege to meet you, learn about you, and help you on your journey to lead a more satisfying life. In my work, I make use of adaptational and motivational perspectives. Using adaptational strategies, I attend to how a client experiences, appraises, reacts, and copes with life stressors. The motivational perspective, on the other hand, attends to the fulfillment of physiological, security/safety, belongingness/love, esteem, and self-actualization or spiritual needs. It is not uncommon to be unaware of our deeper needs and motives, and the conflicts that exist between our needs and the actions used to satisfy them. In helping others, I tailor my approach to the client’s goals and needs.
