Grief is a normal and natural reaction to a loss of any kind; death, divorce, faith or career. Regardless of the reason why, the resulting emotions are very powerful and often conflicting. My approach to grief and loss is to use cognitive behavioral approaches to process the emotions and help my client reclaim control over them. Often clients get stuck in trying to find a logical answer to the "why" instead of processing the emotional effect on their life. I can help with the process.

I help clients understand what grief and loss are, and what a healthy grieving process looks like. I utilize a grieving framework called "The Tasks of Mourning". I offer clients a safe supportive space to process their grief. Having been a Certified Grief Counselor, I share with clients new understandings of the grieving process that helps them be able to successfully work through their grief.
