I was raised as a Christian and can understand and empathize with those who practice a Christian way of life, as well as a conservative view of life. I also understand how at times religious beliefs can come into conflict with personal strivings and need to be resolved. Mental health comes when one's religious beliefs and one's life are in harmony and one can live free of anxiety and doubt.

I practice Christian Counseling where I help you include God in all your decisions. I have been a Christian for 36+ years and I wouldn't have it any other way. I utilize scriptures to motivate individuals to put God first in all they do. I believe that the more we fall in love with God, the less appeal sin has over us.

Yes, it is true we carry God with us, but we also need to carry a developed Self in order to have the curiosity and discipline to carry out what we believe to be God's wishes. With a stronger Self we also can differentiate our own wishes and needs. We can identify and delineate one feeling from the other. This is vital as our feelings serve as emissaries of our needs. To be a "good Christian" or a "good Jew, you must first understand what it takes to make an even better YOU. That is where I enter the picture.

Counseling is a way to look at who we are. Spirituality is a big part of the human experience. It is my belief that within each of us is a beautiful soul. Some of us allow god to be a big part of our lives, while others question the concept of souls, god and spirituality. Wherever you may stand, you may still identify with a deeper part of yourself. You may call it whatever feels right for you. I would like to help bring that energy into the room (if it feels right for you) to help you heal, from accessing a wholesome, powerful, deep source within you.

I practice of form of therapy that is consistent with Judeo-Christian values. I was raised as a Catholic and understand the philosophy and tenets of Catholicism. I teach patients to fully accept themselves and others but to address misbehavior in themselves and others. This is consistent with the biblical phrase "Condemn the sin but love the sinner."
