My approach draws from research and is anchored in my "real life" experience as a clinician and a mom of four. I have a PhD in clinical psychology, which means that after college, I went to graduate school for six years, including a one-year clinical internship. I was trained to conduct and interpret psychological research and to provide psychotherapy. I also completed many hours of supervised clinical experience after earning my doctoral degree and passed a national and state exam to qualify for licensure. I regularly undertake continuing education to ensure that my knowledge and skills are up to date.

Dr. Spada uses a a holistic and psychodynamic approach to her work. She always meets the client where they are at and provides many types of therapeutic modalities as needed such as, cognitive behavioral therapy and gestalt. Dr. Spada incorporates breathing and meditation techniques as needed. Additionally, Dr. Spada utilizes a psychodynamic approach. She does not sit there like a statue. The therapy is very interactive.
