In my work with individuals, couples and families I always keep in mind the goal of helping the client(s) live a life that truly expresses their highest, best selves. I appreciate the capacity in each to person to live a vital self-led life. This is done by integrating emotional, physical and spiritual well-being. Healing the wounds that prevent us from living fully allows for the emergence of our authentic selves.

Psychotherapy is an umbrella term for the work I do with clients. With couples psychotherapy involves the Gottman method and with individuals it involves many different approaches that are best suited for the individual at hand. Through psychotherapy, I provide a safe space for clients to share what they've been going through as well as their goals and guide them in reaching those goals.

The word "psychotherapy" gives a picture that an old man with a beard will analyze you from behind a couch. While not disrespecting that form of intervention, my concept of being a psychotherapist is to provide understanding of the psychology of they way our minds function while using this knowledge to provide incite into why we are needing help. I have extensively studied various forms of therapy and have integrated what works for the person as a whole. My approach is humanistic. This means that understanding the place you are in and relating to your feelings validates your experience. We all need that to trust ourselves to create change.

In my continued endeavor to help and guide my patients, I embrace the Integrative Psychotherapy approach. In short, Integrative Psychotherapy is a “big picture” approach which seeks to bring together the therapeutic elements from the different schools of psychotherapy into the process of positive and wholesome change for the patient. Working in the Integrative Psychotherapy approach we can embrace and affirm your inherent values and your own inner healing ability. It is unifying and balancing.
