Career Counselling and Coaching in Mountain Lake, Ontario.

In today's society, most people spend a significant amount of time in their vocational pursuits. Whether you want to increase your satisfaction in your current role, or you want to explore other potential vocations, or you have a career goal you are struggling to attain, it can be really helpful to talk to someone who can help you create and clarify your goals and break them down into attainable smaller goals and benchmarks. I use a blended approach using principles of both psychotherapy and coaching to support you in creating the life you want while breaking through the barriers that have been keeping you stuck.

You are the only one that knows which career choice will be right for you. However, sometimes it can be hard to tune into your own intuition, especially within the mix of what you want, what you need and what others think. My role in therapy is to help you untangle all these knots and empower you to make a decision that you feel is your own. This may involve collaborating to understand what your intrinsic values are, how you define success and what needs are important for you to fulfill. Call today so we can find a path you can call your own!

A career decision or transition is rarely simple. There is so much to weigh, and it is easy to feel stuck. I can help you explore your personality, strengths, and the areas you find harder, all of which matter when you are planning a move. I have been helping people make career decisions since 1986, so I bring a great many resources to the table. I would be glad to work through it with you. I am based in Calgary and see clients across Alberta, Ontario, Quebec, Nova Scotia, and New Brunswick by secure video. I have been a guidance counsellor to youth for around 15 years. I can help you to explore your options though values work, finding your strengths and the things that you could strengthen more, and keep you grounded as you do so. With experience and knowledge regarding universities, colleges, apprenticeships, and working with other job hunting agencies for youth and adults (including those who have various disabilities), I believe that seeking counselling with me would be a good fit.
