I have more than 12 years of experience helping people resolve anxiety, depression, trauma and grief. I help clients find the emotional support and confidence to lead more satisfying and effective lives, freed from self-limiting beliefs and behavior patterns that keep them stuck. I help them look closely at how they react to situations and how to undo what doesn't work, while helping them build stronger self-acceptance and greater self-esteem. In doing this, I use powerful but gentle tools such as EMDR and the Emotional Freedom Technique which help dissolve negative beliefs and replace them with positive attitudes and a sense of empowerment.

Compassion, empathy, listening deeply, a sense of trust between Client and Therapist... These are some of the keys to successful Psychotherapy. I work collaboratively with Clients to discover how they see themselves and their place in this world. These narratives, that each of us writes for ourself, can be an important part of how balanced and healthy we feel on a daily basis. The rewriting of these stories can produce a positive change that Clients who work with me begin to realize. Some Clients will identify that they have suffered a breach of trust or an attachment loss at some point in their life. We work together to compassionately identify how that breach of love can be healed.

Healing heart and mind is a relational process. The family we grew up in, our individual mind and body, and our experiences all shape us. Through caring and cooperative research, we can review where we have been and put words to the story. We can mine, define and refine those valuable gifts and relationships to further build our team for this next adventure.

I specialize in brief online relationship counseling. Online counseling allows clients to seek help as needed, engage in therapy at a schedule that's convenient to them, and keep their counselor as they progress through life. I work with LGBTQ and hetero clients on individual, couple, and alternative relationship concerns.
