Sometimes, our loved ones tell use that we need to get out anger under control. Other times, the fallout from an angry outburst can be so awful and the decision to seek help is made. For anger management, I use an approach called Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I have found this approach the be the most efficient at bringing insight and self-awareness in the moment leading up to anger, which in turn give the client greater control over self, with love and compassion for themselves and for others.

At Clinic Dr. Bita, we offer group workshops, as well individual therapy sessions to address anger management. Our English and French group workshops take place in the evenings at our Westmount clinic (once per week for an eight-week period). Discounts are available for early-bird registrants. And expenses for the workshop are reimbursed by by private insurance companies and are recognized by the courts.

In addressing anger management, our approach will involve identifying triggers, exploring the underlying causes of anger, and implementing practical strategies to express emotions constructively. Through counseling and skill-building exercises, we'll work together to develop healthier coping mechanisms, enhance self-awareness, and promote lasting changes in managing and channeling anger.

Through counseling for anger management, clients can learn to communicate more effectively, manage stress, and develop problem-solving skills to prevent anger from escalating. My goal is to help clients achieve a greater sense of self-awareness, improve their relationships, and lead a more fulfilling life
