My approach to psychotherapy is to use evidence-based techniques built upon a humanistic foundation and is tailored to each individual and may draw upon a variety of theoretical orientations. While the environment will be safe, it will also be a challenge as it will provide the platform from which you can explore yourself, your challenges and resources to foster personal growth. This is done through insight and awareness into your unique personal experience. Together, we will navigate your inner landscape to try and understand what is working and not working for you and how your values align with your actions and relationships.

Psychotherapy is ideally a safe place for clients to begin unpacking their issues to begin looking forward towards their best hopes. While it can certainly be challenging and intimidating, my goal is to help clients embrace the discomfort in exploring these tough issues to ideally imagine a better future to ultimately pursue. While my practice can center around resolution of goals, I also believe some people just need a trained clinician to talk to in a less goal-oriented formal matter.

As a Registered Psychotherapist part of what I offer is psychotherapy which is a further in-depth exploration of issues that are bothering you. Together, we will explore the origins and roots of these issues to better understand how your past has impacted you and how it is perhaps continuing to impact you today. From there, we will collaboratively work on a plan to determine how to use that information in order to allow you to work through your current challenges.
