My counselling practice is grounded in my love for Jesus and a deep respect for each person’s unique faith journey. I offer a compassionate and non-judgmental space where clients can explore their spiritual beliefs and experiences as they feel comfortable. For some, this may include integrating prayer, scripture, or reflection on matters of faith into the counselling process. I take a holistic approach to care, recognizing that spiritual, emotional, physical, and relational aspects of life are interconnected. If your Christian faith is a part of your journey, I am here for you. I create a safe space for you to talk about your spirituality and any other feelings that might lead you to have a myriad of feelings. I will meet you with compassion, acceptance, and nonjudging. For us, the work is more about truth and transparency of Christ's message and working on the natural laws of accountability and decision making that evolve from that. As a Christian, I view human beings as creatures made in the image of God (imago Dei). My therapeutic stance takes a person-centered approach that honors the inherent goodness, autonomy, and intrinsic dignity that God has placed in each person, and values God’s creation recognizing that God is at work not just to heal minds and bodies, but ultimately to redeem and restore us to himself. My role as a therapist/counselor is to make myself available for God to use to share and show his love for his people, as I participate in continuing Christ's healing ministry on earth.

I welcome all faith backgrounds and believe in creating a culturally safe space for my clients. Faith and spirituality are important aspects for many people and as such it is important that it is not overlooked within counselling. Within my counselling practice it is important to me that clients feel comfortable sharing their spiritual beliefs as they desire which may include talking about their faith journey, and/or integrating prayer or scripture. I consider this part of a holistic approach to understanding the social, physical, emotion, and spiritual dynamics of each persons life. I respect the clients needs in all areas of practice including faith.
