Faith and spirituality are important aspects for many people and as such it is important that it is not overlooked within counselling. Within my counselling practice it is important to me that clients feel comfortable sharing their spiritual beliefs as they desire which may include talking about their faith journey, and/or integrating prayer or scripture. I consider this part of a holistic approach to understanding the social, physical, emotion, and spiritual dynamics of each persons life. I respect the clients needs in all areas of practice including faith.
