Brian's Christian faith is the central factor in his life, and provides him with strength and hope based on the incredible grace that he finds in Christ. He intentionally sought out training that integrated psychology and Christian theological learning. Though not all of his patients share this faith, or wish to look at their issues through this frame, Brian is trained and glad to address issues from this perspective. Brian is also a member of Christ Community Church in Franklin, and is so thankful for the community of grace that he finds there.

Co-author of several books with his mentor, Dr. Gary Chapman, Presson is a charter member of AACC (American Association of Christian Counselors -- www.aacc.net ) since 1986 and the most published practicing Christian therapist in TN with over two decades of experience. We are not officially Biblical counselors, but are all capable of integrating your Christian beliefs into therapy effectively. Brooke has a background in pastoral counseling where spiritual integration is a very regular practice, and all of our clinicians are able to explore the role that your faith beliefs play in your emotions and choices. Anyone of any faith is welcome to ask for spiritual integration into therapy.

There are Christian Counselors and Counselors that are Christian. What's the difference? Christian Counselors attend a Christian Master's program and learn Biblical teachings to guide you through your therapy. A Counselor that is a Christian is a counselor that is a Christian in his or her own life but may not have been through that type of "formal" training. I am a Counselor that is a Christian. I enjoy working with clients who have a Christian faith if that is an interest for them to use in their process.
