Our deepest wounds are often those that are at the hands of another person. Human brokenness is the root of our need for redemption. This holds true in therapy and growth work as well. When we encounter our deep wounds, we encounter our need for our Big God. Here, we are able to reconcile the broken our hurt parts of our ourselves. Faith is an integral part of my practice. For me, all the best counseling techniques and coping skills in the world are not enough without God. Our relationship with God can become complicated and confusing at times. Sometimes it feels like He isn't even there. It's okay to feel angry or abandoned by God. But when you turn to Him he does hear you. My counseling is not a bible study, but bringing Christ into my sessions is important to me.

I believe that Christ is the ultimate source of hope and healing in this life. But I also believe that he’s given us the gift of rational minds, able to discern scientific and psychological truths built into the fabric of His amazing creation. My approach is grounded firmly in Scripture, but I don’t use Scripture as a weapon. You don’t need more guilt, but rather, a reminder of God’s promises and a compassionate guide to support you.
