Most of therapy or counseling processes utilize validation, unconditional positive regard, and reframing as common techniques to get someone to heal from their depression. Though this can be helpful, it rarely fixes the core problem behind it and for tough cases we then refer them usually to a psychiatrist for medication which can have tons of side effects. Are you depressed? Depression is often best treated using REBT and CBT in combination with exercise, nutritional changes, and/or medication. Depending upon what is going on, it is possible that I will ask you to begin to increase activities that will eventually promote a sense of satisfaction, pleasure, and accomplishment. We will also work on how your thinking affects your mood, so you can learn to feel better. We will work on your interpersonal relationships, teaching you how to receive positive reinforcement and enhance the opportunities for this. We will also work on teaching you to positively reinforce yourself.

I offer confidential and non-judgemental counseling to help people overcome their depression or suicidal thoughts. Depression can show itself with many different symptoms including, but not limited to feelings of sadness, anger, fatigue, guilt, insomnia, shame, and worthlessness. Depression does not mean the person never smiles, it may show itself when you are alone, or you may experience mood swings. Suicidal thoughts and other self-harming behaviors happen when a person feels overwhelmed by the depression. He listens to the clients concerns and looks at the whole picture before making choices regarding their health and well being.
