I create a supportive and non-judgmental space where clients feel safe to explore their relationship with food, body image, and self-esteem. Through a combination of evidence-based therapies such as EMDR, IFS, CBT, DBT, and ACT, clients gain insights into the underlying factors driving their disordered eating behaviors. By developing coping skills, challenging negative thought patterns, and fostering self-compassion, clients can gradually heal their relationship with food and their bodies. I collaborate with registered dietitians to address both the psychological and nutritional aspects. My goal is to empower clients to cultivate a balanced and nourishing approach to eating and living.

I enjoy working with women of all ages who are struggling with their self-worth, body-image, and/or an eating disorder. I work diligently to understand how my clients experience the world around them and do my best to journey with my clients in a way that empowers them to believe in the truth of their inherent worth and beauty. ?As an experiential therapist, I look for opportunities to join my clients in their struggles to support and encourage them throughout the recovery process. With eating disorders, I begin therapy by bringing the client and family in for a family session. I will also see the client alone in order to assess specific behaviors and attitudes about food, weight and exercise. This is very helpful in addressing the severity of the eating disorder and improving the understanding of the contributing factors to the disorder. An eating disorder may sometimes be rooted in low self-esteem, societal pressure, anxiety or misguided ideals of perfection.

"It's not about the food." Therapist will provide support, guidance, and hold space to help client explore and identify the contributing factors that fuel ED thoughts and behaviors.
