I provide career counseling to: those who have been laid off and are looking for a second career as a result of the current economy; those who have a disability and need career counseling as part of their "transition plan"; and/or those who are uncertain about choosing a career, as opposed to just seeking employment or a job. In addition, I provide career counseling to those who are unhappy with their current job/career and are looking for a change. perhaps something more fulfilling and rewarding. What ever the case may be, I assist in examining your strengths and needs and provide guidance; so that you can make a career decision or improve your performance in your present career.

Sometimes it's hard to know what step to take next in your career. Sometimes negative beliefs and experiences are holding you back. I am passionate about helping people feel fulfilled and purposeful in life and their careers. I specifically enjoy helping people discover their unique strengths and wire up. Together we use problem solving to explore and opportunities professionally. I use various assessments to help in this discovery process and partner with the client on viable and fulfilling options in their career.

When it comes to career counseling, we prioritize a client-centered exploration of their interests, values, skills, and goals, while actively listening and helping our clients to identify potential career paths that align with their unique profile, followed by developing a personalized action plan to achieve those goals. Moreover, we focus on self-awareness while exploring options, and providing practical guidance to navigate the job market effectively. 

Life happens. Sometimes we find ourselves in a situation where a change of employment may be necessary. Whether it is an expected transition or the result of unforeseen circumstances, change is difficult and can cause stress related illness. We can assist with making the transition less stressful. Life can be fulfilling and balanced, relationships can be honest and satisfying. Old wounds can heal, self-control can be gained, happiness can be experienced and personal change is attainable. The first 20 years of my career I worked in human resources and business consulting for large and small companies and I have 10 years of experience doing workplace counseling and executive coaching.
