I am an experienced clinical counsellor providing counselling to adults, adolescents and couples. Through a holistic approach, and in a safe and encouraging environment, I offer counselling/coaching that is geared towards helping clients gain understanding of themselves, their place in the world and their life struggles.

My clinical experience includes work at the Adler Trauma Clinic, where I have worked with clients who have a history of unresolved trauma.  I worked at the McMichael Gallery providing group counselling to people facing terminal illness. My areas of interest include depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress, anger management, illness management, grief and loss. I have also worked at Hincks-Dellcrest  in the developmental clinic, screening pre-schoolers new to the country, to assess their readiness for school.

I have a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology (Specialized Honours) from the University of Guelph, a Bachelor of Education from the University of Toronto and a Master's in Counselling Psychology from the Adler School of Professional Psychology.

I find that she gets many requests for couples counselling.  Counselling can help with various issues such as infidelity, parenting, finances, problems in communication, anger, extended family, intimacy, addictions and/or trust.  I specialize in working with couples trying to rebuild their relationship after infidelity. Working through an affair is tough and painful, but it can be achieved, and I am here to guide you and help you through it. Couples report that they can communicate better, have more insight into their own issues and have a better understanding of their partners' issues.

I do provide individual counselling as well. Individual counselling can address issues such as low self-esteem,  relationship difficulties, financial problems, difficulty with family, parenting, difficulty with a job, anxiety, and coping with loss. My main goal is to listen in a supportive, non-judgmental manner and to provide a safe and confidential environment to discuss issues.  The goal is to explore ways of making positive changes in the client's life. I find that it takes just a few sessions for the client to report feeling more hopeful, viewing their issues in a more positive manner and with more clarity and ready to make long-lasting changes to address the problematic issues.
