Welcome & hello!

As a therapist, I offer a safe, attuned, and trustworthy relationship to help you gently explore and heal the root causes of your emotional & relationship challenges. I am an ethical & compassionate professional who strives to hold your process with sacred care.

You may be struggling to resolve past hurts or recover from relational harm. You may feel grief, anger, depression, anxiety & panic, or live with a sense of numbness & disconnection. Perhaps you are going through a difficult transition in your career or facing the end of a significant relationship. Whatever the cause, when you've reached a stuck point, or when stress & suffering feel like too much to bear, please reach out for help. We can bring compassionate awareness to your underlying challenges while nurturing your everyday wellbeing.

A bit about me:

As a trained contemplative psychotherapist & experienced trauma therapist, I integrate mindfulness & compassion practices with established Western therapeutic approaches, such as Interpersonal Neurobiology, Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, and Family Systems Therapy. I have 20+ years of experience in the fields of trauma healing, depth & relational psychotherapy, somatic & arts-based approaches.

I have been in private practice in Victoria, BC since 2018. I work with adults, couples, & families both in person and online. I also facilitate groups.

I welcome clients who are LGBTQIA2S+ and clients who are neurodivergent. I also accept clients who are eligible for coverage through the First Nations Health Authority.

My qualifications include:
  • Ph.D. focused on Developmental Psychology, diversity & arts-based practice (UBC)
  • Graduate Level Certification in Contemplative Psychotherapy from Karuna Training.
  • Diploma in Interpersonal Psychodynamic Psychotherapy from the William Alanson White Institute.
  • Training in Somatic Therapy for Complex Trauma (PESI)

I have also worked as:
  • a therapist in a program for women who have survived childhood abuse and sexual trauma
  • a counsellor in the Family Caregivers Program at Mental Health Recovery Partners here in Victoria
  • a university teacher & researcher.

I love working with:
  • therapists, teachers, nurses, doctors, support workers, and other professional helpers
  • artists, writers & creative types
  • neurodivergent individuals, couples & families (Autism, ADHD, AuDHD, Giftedness and more)
  • “high achievers” who are struggling with burnout, depression, anxiety, or loss of meaning
  • folks who have done a lot of therapy but are still struggling
  • individuals with complex developmental trauma
  • older adults who feel the call to do inner-work

I’m a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) in good standing with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors.
